Renovation and new construction of Wilhelm-Gentz-Schule in Neuruppin - An existing school building of the ‘Erfurt’ type has been renovated and rebuilt by CKRS Architekten to be CO2-friendly, with optimised internal organisation and a sustainable learning concept. The ensemble is made up of three individual building blocks: The existing prefabricated building, the connecting L-shaped extension and the new sports hall. Together, the modules form a compact building (1+1+1 = 1) that blends into its surroundings as a distinctive urban building block.
